  • For extended island cantilever overhangs designed for seated food prep, reinforce the substructure with hidden, solid 1/2-inch cold-rolled steel support plates routed flush into the top of the cabinet frames. This provides rigid support for heavy natural stone without requiring obstructive knee posts.
